As you want to pursue Movie Direction Course after BCA so you are definitely eligible for course. Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) offers many courses. Courses: Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Direction Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Cinematography One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Direction (Television) One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Electronic Cinematography (Television) One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Video Editing (Television) One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Sound Recording and TV Engineering (Television) Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Sound Recording and Sound Design Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Editing Two Year Post Graduate Diploma in Acting Two Year Post Graduate Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in Feature Film Screenplay Writing Syllabus: There is no specific syllabus for the exam. There will be some basic Mental Ability questions based on the elementary mathematics at the school level. Questions are from General Knowledge and General Mental Ability. The maximum marks for the exam are 100 . One should concentrate to film media and from the world of entertainment. Duration of the examination is 3 hrs i.e. from 10-1pm. Awards and Recognition, for example the Oscars, Grammy Awards, who won in which category etc should be in the focus of the students. Exam Pattern: A black and white sketch will be given. Based on this there will be multiple choice questions.- 8 marks Jumbled pictures will be given and you have to arrange them in a chronological order A situation will be given to you have to write a scene.-10 marks A picture will be given and you have to write a story based on that picture.-10 marks General Knowledge -10 marks CAT type questions-10 mark Fill in the Blanks -5marks True or False again related to aesthetics -2 marks Names of 5 films will be given and you have to write the names of the director-. 5 marks Match the columns -5 marks Description of shots will be given and you have to give their technical names -5marks Questions related to technical aspect of film-making- 5 marks. Short notes Here i am providing list of few of the questions, for your idea. Write a short note on the following- any 4 Film theory Farmers suicides in india Documentary filmmaking Trends in indian poetry Genocide Silent cinema Globalization and culture Write about any of the literary fiction you have read in an Indian Language and can it be made into a short film.
