Certificate Course in Forensic Science is a one year postgraduate certificate program. The course covers all the related topics of the study field and gives rigorous training to the students.


Each of the written papers is of three hours duration and of 100 marks. The Practical exam carries 200 marks out of which 25% marks are reserved for the Laboratory and field records. The Practical test includes Viva-voce. The Practical Test consists of two papers each of 5 hours duration.


Tuition Fees: A student is required to pay a fee of Rs.300/- for the whole course payable in three installments of Rs.100/- each along with the prescribed registration fee.

Attendance: A student is required to attend not less than 75% of the lectures delivered and practical separately. A candidate, who falls short of the required percentage of attendance either in lectures or practical held, shall not be allowed to take the examination.

The minimum percentage of marks required to pass the examination is 40% in the written papers, 40% in the practical test, and 50% in the aggregate. A candidate obtaining 75% or more marks in the aggregate is shown as having obtained Distinction.
