Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have passed graduation in agriculture/pharmacy/food technology/diary technology from any recognized collage.

Or

Candidates of medical graduation are also eligible for this post.

Or

Candidates must have taken the Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture then you are eligible for this exam.

Age limit:
Your minimum age limit should be 21 years.

Selection process:

2.Interview

Reasoning (50 marks)

A food inspector is someone who is responsible for giving individual inspections for determining the quality of the food processed or made. They also deal with the prevention of food hazards, manufacture of safety manuals for companies and determine the verifications of the salesperson

Eligibility for Food Inspector:-
Age:
Candidates aged between 18 and 25 years of age are eligible to apply for the post of Food Inspector.

Educational qualification:

Aspirants possessing any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply for UPSC All India Food Inspector Exam

- Graduates in medicine with one year training in food inspection.
- Bachelors degree in science stream with chemistry as a compulsory.
-Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture / Public Health/ Veterinary Science/Dairy Technology/Pharmacy / Food Technology

Candidates possessing any degree equivalent to those given above are eligible to apply.

Procedure of Selection:-
Candidates are selected based on performance in written test and interview.

Mental Ability/ Reasoning:

Finding Pattern and Trends, Creative Thinking, Verbal Reasoning, Assessment of Figures and Diagrams and Unfamiliar Relationships etc

Mathematical Skills/ Quantitative Aptitude:

Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Numerical Calculations, Charts and Tables respectively

General Knowledge/ Current Affairs:

Current Affairs related to Trade and Economy of India, Indian Political System, Indian Judiciary System, Sports, Culture and Science & Technology related issues respectively

Language /Verbal Ability:

Questions based on Comprehension, Grammar Based Questions, Essay Writing in both the languages – Hindi and English, Vocabulary Test and Sentence Formation respectively

Computer Proficiency:

Fundamental Concepts of Computers, Operating System Operations respectively
