A.P. Drug Inspector examination is being conducted for appointment to the posts Drug Inspector. Here are the details of this exam:

Eligibility:
The applicant should hold Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Medicine with Specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by Law.

Syllabus:

General Studies & Mental Ability

1. General Science – Contemporary developments in Science and Technology and their implications including matters of every day observation and experience, as may be expected of a well-educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline.

2. Current events of national and international importance.

3. History of India – emphasis will be on broad general understanding of the subject in its social, economic, cultural and political aspects with a focus on AP Indian National Movement.

4. World Geography and Geography of India with a focus on AP.

5. Indian polity and Economy – including the country’s political system- rural development – Planning and economic reforms in India.

6. Mental ability – reasoning and inferences.

7. Disaster Management (Source: CBSE Publications) Concepts in disaster management and vulnerability profile of India / State of A.P. Earth quakes / Cyclones / Tsunami / Floods / Drought – causes and effects. Man made disasters - Prevention strategies. Mitigation strategies / Mitigation measures.

Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) or other state level Public Service Commission.

Eligibility criteria for Food & Drug Administration

Education:
Applicant need to have degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutics Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology form recognized university.

Age Criteria:

Applicant age should be between 21 years to 30 years.

Nationality: Indian

Selection Procedure:
Written test
Interview

Written Exam Pattern:

Paper I: Pharmacy
Total Marks Allotted: 200
Duration of Exam: 2 Hours

Paper II: General Knowledge
Total Allotted Marks: 50
Duration of Exam: 1 Hour

First Paper

General Science
Current Events of National and International Importance
History of India
Indian National Movement
Indian Polity and Economy
World Geography and Population

(2) Second Paper - Main Subject

Chemical constituents of foods: Desirable and Potentially undesirable food constituents and their importance. Water, Carbohydrates, Lipids, Proteins, Vitamins, Minerals: Classes, Nomenclature, structure and their chemistry.
