Admission requirements
The Florida Board of Governors sets minimum eligibility criteria (listed below) for its eleven member institutions.
1. Graduation from secondary school or the successful completion of the GED.
2. Completion of 18 academic units in a college curriculum. The following distribution of the 18 units is required:
o Four units of English (three units must include a substantial writing
component)
o Four units of mathematics (Algebra I or higher)
o Three units of natural science (two with laboratories)
o Three units of social sciences
o Two units of the same foreign language
o Two units of academic electives
Their automatic admissions criteria for the 2015-2016 academic year is:
Minimum scores for each SAT or ACT section are:
• SAT – Critical Reading = 460 ACT – Reading = 19
• SAT – Mathematics = 460 ACT – Mathematics = 19
• SAT – Writing = 440 ACT – English/Writing = 18
