Sir please tell me that who is the First Air Chief Marshal of Indian Air Force(IAF) as this is the question in my exam and I don’t know the name of the officer so kindly tell me the name of the officer so that next time I can able to answer this question whenever asked in my exam??????

The first IAF officer to hold this rank was Air Chief Marshal Arjan Singh (later promoted to the five-star rank of marshal of the Indian Air Force) who was promoted to the rank in 1966 while he served as the CAS.

Chief of the Air Staff is the professional head and the commander of the Indian Air Force.

The position is abbreviated as CAS in the Indian Air Force cables and communication, and is usually held by a four-star air officer of the rank Air Chief Marshal.
