Females in CID

Can you tell me if females are eligible for CID (Crime Investigative Department) as I want to join it? Tell me about its eligibility requirement/

Yes, female candidates are definitely eligible in CID (Crime Investigative Department). There is nothing different policy for their admission. To join CID one need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC board every year.

Graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for CID exam (Criminology)

The age should be in between 20 to 27 years. Age relaxation is provided for SC/ST/OBC category as per government rule.

Physical Requirements

Height
For men -165cms
For women -150cms
Weight is correlated accordingly

Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)
Distant Vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.
NearVision: 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

Selection Process:
1. Written test
2.Intelligence test
3.Personality interview
