The Centre for Studies in Social Work (CSW), Dibrugarh University invites applications from interested eligible candidates for admission in the Master of Social Work (MSW) Programme which consists of 4 Semesters with a total duration of 2 academic years. Eligibility Criteria for Admission: (a) One must have Bachelor degree under the 10+2+3 pattern from a recognized University securing a minimum of 45% marks in Major or in aggregate (40% for Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes candidates). One whose results for the qualifying exam is not yet declared may also apply, provided that one is confident of fulfilling all the criteria for admission and is able to submit the original marks sheets before the admission process is completed. (b) Preference is given to candidates from the north-eastern States Application and Admission Procedure: Selection is made through a one and half hour Written Test (50 Marks) followed by a Group Discussion (30 Marks) and Personal Interview (20 Marks). Only qualified candidates securing minimum 45% marks in Written Test shall be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The Written Test will assess a candidates knowledge of and sensitivity to contemporary social issues, general knowledge and analytical abilities of English. The duration of the Group Discussion would be of maximum 20 minutes per group. To qualify for admission, one is required to secure a minimum of 40% marks separately in the personal interview, group discussion and the written test. The selected candidates shall have to bring all the following documents in original: a) Pass Certificates and Marks sheets from HSLC onwards. b) Character certificate from the institution last attended No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer (if employed) for attending the Course. c) Medical Corticated from a registered medical practitioner vouching the candidates fitness.
