Jamia Hamdard is an institute of higher education deemed to be university. It is a government-funded university. Established in 1989, was formally on August 1, 1989. In 2019 it was awarded the Institute of Eminence status.

Eligibility

One must have passed Bachelor degree exam in any discipline from a recognized institution with at least one paper of Mathematics at Senior Secondary (10+2) level. Bachelor degree signifies that the degree has been obtained under 10+2+3 system of education or equivalent.

One must have appeared in the IIT JAM

One must have appeared in the interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.

For admission against the foreign/NRI/Industry Sponsored seats, written test is not required.


Selection Procedure

The admission is on the basis of the merit determined by the scores of the candidates in the IIT JAM and performance of the short-listed candidates in the interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard.

One desirous of admission needs to apply to Jamia Hamdard on its prescribed admission application form. When the IIT JAM result is declared, one will have to submit attested copy of the score card to Jamia Hamdard.

Short-listed candidates will be called for an interview in Jamia Hamdard.
