UPSC Indian Administrative Services IAS exam details are: Indian Administrative Services IAS exam Fees; Candidates (excepting Female / SC / ST / PH Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty only) Applications Not Accompanied By The Prescribed Fee (Unless Remission of Fee Is Claimed) Shall Be Summarily Rejected. Fee once paid shall not be refunded Candidates admitted to the Main Examination will be required to pay a further fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundreds only). Important Dates Date of Notification: 23 May, 2015 Last Date to Apply: 19 June, 2015 Exam Date: 23 August, 2015 Civil Services (Main): 18 December, 2015 Eligibility; The applicant should have following giving criteria; – He/she should be an Indian nationality – Age 21 to 30 years – Graduate degree – Medical and Physically fit Exam pattern Prelim Pattern The Preliminary Examination consists of 2 papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry maximum of 400 marks. This exam is only a screening test; the marks obtained in the prelims are only for qualifying for main exam and are not counted for determining final order of merit. Prelims Paper Duration Questions Marks Paper I - General Studies 2 Hours 100 200 Paper II - Aptitude 2 Hours 80 200 Total 400 In General Studies Paper - II, minimum qualifying marks is 33%. You will be selected for Mains exam based total qualifying marks of General Studies Paper - I.
