The Federal Bank Limited is a major private sector commercial bank headquartered at Aluva, Kochi, Kerala. As on 31 March 2016, Federal Bank has 1252 branches and 1680 ATMs across the country. Its balance-sheet stood at Rs. 1.37 trillion as of end March 2016 and its Net Profit stood at Rs. 475 crore for the fiscal year.

Shri Shyam Srinivasan took charge as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of The Federal Bank Ltd, a major private commercial bank in India.

He took over as the CEO of the bank on 23 September 2010.

He joined Federal Bank, equipped with the experience of over 20 years with leading multinational banks in India, Middle East and South East Asia,

Qualification

Srinivasan received bachelor of engineering (B.E.) degree from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli (now known as National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli) and PGDM from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He has completed a Leadership Development Program from the London Business School.

Career :

Srinivasan holds key positions in the Industry as follows:
Chairman of IBA Committee on Member Private Sector Banks.
Member of the committee on Financial Sector Legislative Reforms set up by Reserve Bank of India.
Past Chairman of Kerala State Council of Confederation of Indian Industries.
Honorary fellow & governing council member of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance
Chairman of Policyholder Protection Committee of IDBI Federal
Alternate Chairman in the following committees of the Indian Bank's Association
