FCI stands for Food Corporation of India. It was setup under the Food Corporation Act 1964, in order to fulfill following objectives of the Food Policy: Effective price support Distribution of food grains throughout the country; Functioning for safeguarding the interests of the farmers; Maintaining satisfactory level of buffer stocks of food grains to ensure National Food Security.

FCI usually issued job notification for the post of Assistant Grade, Junior Engineer and Typist in 1st week of month of February. FCI Exam online application starts from 17thFebruary to 17th March, 2015 through the online mode.

Exam Pattern

FCI EXAM consist of 4 papers. First three papers consist of 120 questions. And last paper is of translation type. Means you will be given 2 passages, and you have to translate them one each from Hindi to English and other one from English to Hindi .

• Paper-I is of 01 hours 30 minutes. Questions are of Higher Secondary Level education from subjects of General Knowledge, Aptitude, English, Computer, Data Analysts etc.

• Paper-II is of 90 minute. It contain questions from Quantitative Methods and English Comprehension.

• Paper III is also of 90 mins and questions are of Degree level which contains subject such as Hindi, English, General Knowledge, and Computer etc.

• Paper-IV is of 90-minute. It includes Translations of two passages, one each from Hindi to English and other one is from English to Hindi and two essays each in Hindi and English
