Fakir Mohan Autonomous College (Autonomous status. 1999), previously known as Balasore College (estd. 6th July 1944) and Fakir Mohan College renamed 2nd August 1944) , stands with all its pride and glory in the heart of the town, Balasore.

The college is located at Balasore town, 200 Kms. from the state capital Bhubaneswar, and 250 Kms. from Kolkata.
