I want to tell you that you have to give the exam of Indian Police Service exam

Nationality:
A candidate must be either:—
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit:
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed 30 years

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed graduation from any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India

Number of Attempts:
General: 4
OBC: 7
SC and ST: No Limit

Scheme of CS (Preliminary) Examination

The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of objective type (multiple-choice questions) carrying a maximum of 400 marks.

Hey as IRS constitutes Income Tax and Customs and Central Exercise. Customs deals with taxation of goods brought into the country. Excise deals mwith taxation of goods manufactured within the country. To get into IRS, you have to clear the Civil Services Examniation.

The eligibility criterion for the examination is graduation from a recognized university. The candidate must be between 21-30 years of age


The Civil Services Examination comprises:

(i) Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT)

(ii) Civil Services Main Examination

(iii) Personality Test


Civil Service Aptitude Test
It consists of two papers.
Each paper carries a maximum of 200 marks.
Questions are objective type.
The syllabus includes subjects like Current Events of National and International, History of India, Geography, Economic and Social Development, general issues on Environmental Ecology, General Science, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability and English Language Comprehension skills.
Once you qualify the Civil Service Aptitude Test, you are eligible to take the Main Examination.

Civil Services Main Examination
It consists of nine papers.
All the papers are of descriptive type.
These papers are intended to assess the overall intellectual abilities and knowledge of the candidates.

Personality Test
It is an interview conducted to assess the candidate's personality in terms of his intelligence, abilities, traits and values.
