There are 4 types of pilot licenses or pilots available in India. Private Pilot License (PPL) Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Student Pilots License (SPL) Air Force Pilot To become pilot in air force route is entirely different than other 3. For Air force pilot applicants need to pass NDA exam and take training in NDA. For 1st three type of pilots, basic qualification is following. Age: Minimum 17 years ( for most institues) Medical: You should be medically fit as per the standards laid down by DGCA Educational Qualification: 10+2 with Physics and Maths from recognized school. Some institutes allow non Science students as long as student applies to a specified course. You can apply to following institutes for pilot training.
