There are following information about MS Entrance exam for PG Medical admission For admission to all post graduate medical and dental courses on open merit All India Institute of Medical Sciences conducts the Competitive Entrance Examination on All-India basis. For admission to 50% of seats of various post graduate courses this Entrance Examination is being conducted. Date of Examination : This examination is generally conducted on the first/second Sunday of January every year. Nature of Examination : The examination will consist of one paper of 3 1/2 hours duration Exam containing 300 multiple choice questions (MCQs) consisting of pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical subjects. All questions will be of objective type (MCQs). Each answer with correct response will be given four marks. One mark will be deducted for each wrong response. Zero mark will be given for questions not answered. The tentative number of questions from each subject will be as given below : Anatomy (15), Physiology (15), Biochemistry (15), Pharmacology (20), Pathology (25), Microbiology (20), Forensic Medicine (10), Social and Preventive Medicine (25), Medicine, Dermatology and Venereology (37), Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics & Anaesthesia (46), Paediatrics (15), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (20), Radiodiagnosis and Radiotherapy (12), Biophysics (5), Opthalmology (10), Psychiatry (10). The entrance examination will be of the standard of the MBBS examination and will cover all the subjects of the MBBS course. |
