To apply for the Indian Air Force you need to appear in the Air Force Common Admission Test AFCAT-2-2014. This test is being conducted for following branches:


Flying Branch

Technical Branch

Ground Duty Branch


Here are the details of this test:
Important Dates
Starting date for Submission of Online Applications: 07th June 2014
Last date for Submission of Online Application: 03rd July 2014
Date of AFCAT and EKT Exam: 31st August 2014
Date of Course Commencing: July 2015


Required qualification:
For Flying Branch
Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or B.E./B.Tech degree f with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together can apply.


Ground Duty Branch
The applicant should hold Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate


Technical Branch
The applicant should have completed minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university
