Indian Engineering Services include engineers who work under the legislature of India and assigned as Class – 1 officer. They direct a substantial portion of the general population segment economy, which constitutes of Indian Railways, Power, Telecommunications, Central Water building, Defense administration of Engineers, Central Engineering Service, and so on.

A combined competitive examination is led by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) for enrollment to the Indian Engineering Services. ESE 2017 Eligibility

(I) Nationality:


A hopeful must be either:

(an) A national of India or

(b) A subject of Nepal or A subject of Bhutan or

(c) A Tibetan evacuee who approached Indian before the first January, 1962 with the aim of for all time settling in India or

(d) A man of Indian beginning who has moved from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African nations of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the aim of for all time settling in India.

(III) Minimum Educational Qualifications:

Gotten a degree in Engineering from a college fused by a demonstration of the focal or state lawmaking body in India or other instructive organizations built up by a demonstration of Parliament or announced to be esteemed as colleges under area 3 of the college awards commission act, 1956 or

Passed Section An and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or

Gotten a degree/certificate in Engineering from such outside University/College/Institution and under such conditions as might be perceived by the Government for the reason every now and then or

Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) or

Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections An and B of the Aeronautical Society of India or

Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November 1959

Given that a possibility to the post of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics Engineering Posts and Engineer Group "An" in Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organization) may have any of the above capabilities or the capability specified beneath in particular: M.Sc. degree or its equal with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as an uncommon subject.
