Hello I am Preety and I am student of the Engineering I want to join the Indian Military Services? Please tell me, is am I eligible for this? Tell me what are the physical qualifications for girls?

Yes Engineering Girl student are eligible in Indian Military Services. For join the Indian Military Services you should need to clear the CDS exam.

Details of CDS exam :-

CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. This Examination is conducted by UPSC for every twice in a year. You are asking for the eligibility required for this. This is as follows:


Nationality: A candidate must be either
(a) A citizen of India, or
(b) A subject of Nepal, or
(c) A subject of Bhutan

Age Limit:

Your age should be in between 19-24 years only

Education qualification:

As you are from B.tech background then your B.tech should be done from any University which is approved by the AICTE , Delhi .

You should be an Unmarried candidate

Selection process:-

(1) Written exam

(2) SSB Interview

(3) Medical Test

Exam Syllabus:-

(1) General Knowledge for 100 marks

(2) General English for 100 marks

(3) Elementary maths for 100 marks

As per my knowledge girls candidates can apply for Indian military service. Indian women are a combination of beauty, brain and courage. She is right there in every field, in every place. Defense services of India are no different.

Women are being inducted in various branches of Defense services. Their term however is of 10+4 years means Short Service Commission but being subject to vacancies, requirements and their performance they can be taken for a Permanent Commission.

Girl’s candidates want to qualify some entrance exam for Indian military service exam:

UPSC Entry: Women candidates of age 19 to 25 years

NCC Special entry: This entry is only for NCC women cadets who have 2 years’ service in NCC senior division army and have minimum B grade in C certificate exam. Women cadets of age 19 to 25 years

SSC-Technical Entry: Women engineering students of age 20 to 27 years

JAG entry: This entry is especially for the law graduates. The age required for this entry is 21 to 27 years
