Indian Engineering Service Examination 2013 shall be conducted according to the following plan:
1. The written examination for IES 2013 will comprise two sections – Section I consisting only of objective types of questions and Section II of conventional papers.
2. Part II - Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the basis of the written examination for IES 2013.

Application Procedure:
The Online applications for IES Exam 2013 can be filled upto 15th April, 2013 till 11.59 PM after which the link will be disabled. You must ensure that their e-mail ids given in their IES Exam 2013 applications are valid and active.

All infrastructures to the Union Public Service Commission should invariably contain the following particulars:
Name and year of the IES Examination.
Registration ID ( RID ).
Roll No. ( If Received ).
Name of candidate in full and in block letters.
Valid and active e-mail address.
Complete postal address as given in the IES application. N.B.

Exam Schedule:
The centres and the date of holding the Indian Engineering Services Examination as mentioned above are liable to be changed at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission. You are admitted to the Engineering Services Examination 2013 will be informed of the time table and place or places of IES examination.

Mechanical Engineering.
Electrical Engineering.
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
The number of vacancies in IES 2013 to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 560 including 47 PH vacancies.

Eligibility:
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued by the Government of India.
You have been continuously in a temporary service on a regular basis in the particular Department / Office for at least 3 years on the 1st January, 2013.
