What are the eligibility criteria to appear in STET exam of Maharashtra please give me some details about it?

The STET (State Teacher Eligibility Test) is conducted for the post of teachers at the state level schools and colleges of the different states in India

Recruitment for:
Primary School Teachers (Class 1 to 5);
Secondary School Teachers (6 to 8)

Eligibility
The candidates should be graduate in education or having a Diploma in the Elementary Education for this purpose.

There is no age limit.

Exam Pattern:
There shall be two papers which will be based on the syllabus of the concerned standard for which the candidates have made an application in the exam.

Paper I Syllabus shall be based on the standard 1 to 5
Duration of Exam: 1&1/2 Hours

Paper II Syllabus shall be based on the standards 6 to 8
Duration of Exam: 1 and Half Hours

Paper I and II Syllabus for those candidates who wish to become teachers for Classes 1 to 8 respectively

Selection Procedure:
The selections is based on the STET and the minimum qualifying marks for qualifying in the test is 60%
