Hey, you want to appear in Combined Graduate Level SSC Exam , for it you become eligible after completing graduation. Eligibility Nationality: A citizen of India. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan. A Tibetan refugee Qualification : For post of Compiler: Candidate should have Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with Economics/Statistics/Mathematics as compulsory or elective subject. For post of Statistical Investigator Grade - II: Candidate should have Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University with: Atleast 60% in Mathematics at 12th Standard level OR Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level. For all other posts: Candidate should have Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any other equivalent qualification Age relaxation Relaxation of upper age limit: SC/ST 5 year OBC 3 year PH 10 year Selection Process : Tier I - Objective type test Tier II - Objective type test Tier III - Computer proficiency test/ skill test/ interview depending on the post. As you want I am here telling you about the eligibility criteria for Combined Graduate Level exam of SSC. Eligibility criteria: Age : For Assistant Posts: 20 Years to 27 Years. For SI in CBI Posts: 20 Years to 25 Years. For Inspector (Central Excise, Preventive Officer, Examiner) Posts: 18 Years to 27 Years. For Inspector of Income Tax/ AEO in DoE Posts: 18 Years to 27 Years. For Inspector of Posts/ Divisional Accountant Posts: 18 Years to 27 Years. For Auditor/ Accountant/ Junior Accountant Posts: 18 Years to 27 Years. Qualification: Candidate should have graduation degree from any recognized University. Combined Graduate Level Examination :syllabus: Combined Graduate Level (Preliminary) Examination : Part A : a) General Intelligence: It would include questions of both verbal and non verbal type. This component will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. b) General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, economic scene, General polity and scientific research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline Part B : Arithmetic: This part will include questions on problems relating to number system, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentage, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time etc. NOTE: The Commission have the discretion to fix different minimum qualifying standards in the papers of the Preliminary Examination taking into consideration among others, category-wise vacancies. The combined preliminary examination is meant to serve as a screening test only; the marks obtained in the Preliminary examination by the candidate who are declared qualified for admission to the Main/written examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit. Only such candidates who are declared by the Commission to have qualified in the preliminary examination in a year will be eligible for admission to the Main examination(s) of that year provided they are otherwise eligible for admission to the Main examination(s). Combined Graduate Level (Main) Examination : SYLLABUS Paper I: General Studies Questions in this paper will include General Awareness as well as General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability. General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability: It would include questions of both - verbal and non-verbal type. This component will include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, Coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Paper II: English Language (Conventional type) In addition to the testing of candidates understanding of the English language and its correct usage, his writing ability would also be tested. Questions on paragraph writing/ report writing etc. may be included. Paper III: Arithmetic This paper will include questions on problems relating to number system, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentage, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time etc. Paper IV: Language Comprehension (English) The candidate’s ability to understand correct English, his comprehension and writing ability etc. would be tested. Questions on short essay, précis, letter writing etc. would also be included. Paper V: Communication Skill/Writing Ability The candidate’s ability to understand correct English/Hindi, his comprehension and writing ability etc. would be tested. Questions on short essay, precis, letter writing etc. would also be included. Paper VI: Hindi In addition to Candidate’s understanding and knowledge of Hindi Language, its correct usage and his writing ability would also be tested. Questions on short essay, précis, paragraph/report writing, grammar (sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, phrases and idiomatic use of words, etc.) would also be included. |
