The School of Mechanical Engineering of Sastra Deemed University was established in 1984. Over the years it has grown to be one of the best mechanical engineering school in the country.

The B. Tech. programme in Mechatronics is offered with an unique combination of expertise from M/s. Brakes India Ltd. and support from Govt. of India. A state-of-the-art Mechatronics Laboratory has been setup with modern infrastructure conducive to research and learning.

B. Tech. Mechatronics Eligibility Criteria


Nationality
One must be Indian nationals


Academic Qualifications
One must have passed class XII or equivalent qualifying exam from any of the recognized boards with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following as the third subject - Chemistry/ Bio‐Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology.

In case of vocational subjects, the eligibility will be based on the theory subjects opted.


Qualifying Marks
One must have secured a minimum 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Bio‐Technology / Computer Science/ Biology in aggregate in a single sitting.


Age Limit
One must have completed 19 years of age


Entrance Test
For 70% seats, one must qualified JEE Main with valid scores.
