Eligibility for Sail Management Trainee Exam

Hello!! I want to know the eligibility of Steel Authority of India Trainee Exam so please tell me all about it???

SAIL is a Indian company which deals with Steel company.

As you are asking for the eligibility criteria of its Trainee exam so at below me is providing you the data related to this.


1. SAIL Management Trainee Age Limit
Candidate should be below 30 years of age as on July.
Caste based and other criteria age based relaxations are admissible for SAIL Management Trainee.

SC/ST candidates can get age relaxation of five years, OBC candidates can get three years and physically challenged candidates can get relaxation up to 10 years. Candidates who were a legal resident of the state of Jammu & Kashmir till 1889 will be given a 5 year relaxation. The upper limit for departmental Candidates is hiked to 45 years.


Expected Qualification for SAIL Management Trainee Technical

A full time degree in Engineering /MCA with 65% marks obtained from the average of all semesters is required.

The degree should be under any of the following disciplines - Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Civil, E&T,Instrumentation, Ceramics, Chemical, Computer Science and Mining Engineering. SC/ST/PWD and Departmental Candidates who have Bachelors' degree with 50% marks and MBA/PG Diploma in Management in the relevant discipline with just 50% marks are eligible to apply. SC/ST/PWD and Departmental Candidates with an Engineering. The eligible related engineering disciplines are marked against the respective main disciplines as shown below
Mechanical --- Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engg / Production & Industrial Engg / Thermal / Mechanical & Automation .
Electrical --- Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical , Instrumentation & Control / Power Systems & High Voltage / Power Electronics / Power Engineering .

Expected Qualification for SAIL Management Trainee Finance
The candidate should be qualified under CA/ICWA degrees .

Health criteria For SAIL Mangement Trainees Technical :

Sound Physique with no physical defects
Minimum weight - 45 kgs
Minimum height - 155 cms
Myopia or hypermetropia defect in eye should not exceed ± 4.00 in either eye
No squint or color blindness defect
Female candidates will be given certain excuses in height and weight criteria.

Health criteria For SAIL Management Trainees Administration:
Sound Physique with no physical defect
Minimum weight - 45 kgs
Minimum height - 155 cms
Myopia or hypermetropia defect in eye should not exceed ± 6.00 in either eye
No squint or color blindness defect
Female candidates will be given certain excuses in height and weight criteria.
