Eligibility Required for Drug Inspector after B. Pharma
Can you tell me if I am eligible for Drug Inspector Post after having B.Pharm.(65%) and work experience as Veterinay Sales Officer?

Drug inspectors are government officials who are in charge of inspection and quality control of various establishments producing drugs and medicines following national and international legal and medical standards. Educational Qualifications- One have to complete the bachelor degree in the Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine in the clinical specialization, Microbiology course of study are eligible for appearing to the APSPSC Drug Inspector examination. A minimum of 18 months experience in the manufacturing field Age: Applicants must be between 21 years to 35 years. A relaxation of 5 years is allowed for reserved category candidates. Applicants should be Indian citizens. Exam Pattern: The exam duration is 150 minutes and exam is conducted by UPSC. Paper pattern: There are two papers: 1. First paper covers Pharmacy - 200 marks 2. G.K. 50 Marks - viva voice test: 25 marks APPSC Drug Inspector Exam Syllabus:- GENERAL STUDIES & MENTAL ABILITY 1. General Science – Contemporary developments in Science and Technology and their implications including matters of every day observation and experience, as may be expected of a well-educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific discipline. 2. Current events of national and international importance. 3. History of India – emphasis will be on broad general understanding of the subject in its social, economic, cultural and political aspects with a focus on Andhra Pradesh National Movement. 4. World Geography and Geography of India with a focus on AP. 5. Indian polity and Economy – including the country’s political system- rural development – Planning and economic reforms in India. 6. Mental ability – reasoning and inferences. 7. Disaster Management (Source : CBSE Publications) Concepts in disaster management and vulnerability profile of India / State of A.P.Earth quakes / Cyclones / Tsunami / Floods / Drought – causes and effects. Man made disasters - Prevention strategies. Mitigation strategies / Mitigation measures |
