Eligibility For JEE Mains
Hi I want to appear in the JEE Mains entrance exam. Will you please provide the eligibility criteria required to appear in the JEE Mains entrance exam?

JEE-Main entrance exam conducted by CBSE for admissions to the NITs, CFTIs . Eligibility Criteria : Students should have passed in final examination of class XII from a recognized board . Students appearing in class XII final examination in may also appear in JEE Mains exam . Students should have passed 5 subjects in their Class XII. Candidates can attempt JEE Main for a maximum of three times. Selection Procedure: Scores and normalized marks of Class XII and JEE main 2015 in the ratio 60:40 Sorry to say that last date to apply is over , please try next year . Important Dates: Start of Online Application was : November 7, 2014 Last date for Online Application was : December 26, 2014 JEE Main 2015 Test Date (Offline) Paper 1 was held on - April 4, 2015 Paper 2 was held on – April 4, 2015 JEE Main Online Test Dates were Shifts per day April 10, 2015 Shift 2: 2 pm to 5 pm (if needed) April 11, 2015 Result declared on : April 27, 2015 |

Re: Eligibility For JEE Mains Eligibility Candidates can attempt examination at most two times in two consecutive years. Candidates should have qualified the Class XII Board Examination (or equivalent) in the previous year. Candidates should not have accepted admission in any of the IIT earlier. Qualifying exam: Candidate should have passed class 12 or qualifying the exam in 2018 or 2019. Candidate appearing in class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam in 2020 can also apply for JEE Main. Age Limit: There is no age limit Number of attempts: JEE Main candidates can participate in the entrance exam for 3 consecutive years. The exam will be conducted twice a year, they may appear in both the attempts. The attempt for an academic year will be considered as One. Class 12 or equivalent exam conducted by a recognized Central or State board like ICSE, CBSE, CISCE etc. Intermediate or Pre-Degree Course exam or Pre-University Course conducted by any of the recognized Board/University. H.S.C - Vocational examination The final exam of the two year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. AICTE or SBTE recognised Diploma of at least three years duration. National Institute of Open Schooling conducted Senior Secondary School Examination with a minimum of five subjects. For admission to IITs, General Certificate Education (GCE) exam (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at Advanced level (A). Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recognised School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognised as equivalent to the 12th class. |
