Civil Services Examination is conducted for the post of Indian Police Services (IPS)
It is conducted be UPSC

Eligibility:
Candidate must have graduation degree in any discipline from recognized University.
Final year student of graduation degree can also apply
You can apply for the exam after engineering degree because it is also a graduation degree

Age limit
21-30 years (GEN)
21-33 years (OBC NC-layer)
21-35 years (SC/ST/PH)

Main exam,

Civil Services (Main) Exam 2015:

Duration of the Exam:- 5 DAYS

Main Examination
Paper I - One Indian language – This will carry 300 marks
Paper II – English – This will carry 300 marks
Paper III – Essay- This will carry 200 marks

Paper VI-IX - Any two optional subjects – Each paper will carry 300 marks

Preparation Tips:
Civil Services Exam requires long term preparation it is not so easy so you should start preparation as early as possible.

Firstly do preparation of General Studies and then prepare for other papers.
