Eligibility For Indian Economic Services Exam
I have decided to give the Indian Economic Service (IES) Exam and want to know the eligibility details of this exam. Will you provide me eligibility and qualification of IFS exam also suggest me books for doing IFS exam preparation along with exam pattern?

The Union Public Service Commission, which conducts Indian Economic Service, sets eligibility criteria to be eligible for the competitive examination. Indian Economic Services examination is conducted by the Union Public service Commission (UPSC) every year, to recruit Grade IV officers for the Indian Economic Service (IES). Eligibility: Age - limits: 21-30 years on 1st January of the year of Examination Certain categories of persons as specified in the notice are eligible for age relaxation Educational Qualification: For Indian Economic Service Post Graduate Degree from a recognized university in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics. Scheme of Examination: Part I: (a) General English 100 Marks (b) General Studies 100 Marks (c) General Economics-I 200 Marks (d) General Economics-II 200 Marks (e) General Economics-III 200 Marks (f) General Economics 200 Marks Part II : Interview for Personality Test: 200 Marks Reference books: General English: For general English refer to Arihant General English by C S Gupta Arihant - General English for All Competitive Examinations (In English) General Studies: For General Studies a regular reading of good Magazines and good General Knowledge book of Upkar is adequate.
