Re: Eligibility for IIT JEE

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges and courses all over the country.

JEE-Main Exam has two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2.

You may opt for either or both of them. Both papers contain multiple choice questions.

Paper-1 is for admission in B.E./B.Tech (online and offline).
Paper-2 is for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning (offline only).

Eligibility:

Pass Percentage in Class 12/Qualifying Examination

You must have studied Physics and Mathematics in their Class 12
You must have studied at least one out of the below as optional subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Bio-technology
You must have scored total 50% marks (minimum) in all subjects.

Date of Birth

In order to be eligible for JEE Main 2016 y muust be born:

On or after October 1, 1990
SC/ST/PwD: on or after October 1, 1985

Number of Attempts

If other eligibility criteria are fulfilled you are allowed a maximum of three attempts.

Dates:

JEE MAIN 2016 is scheduled to be held on

03/04/2016 - Paper and pen mode - 9.30 am to 12.30 pm
09/04 to 10/04/ 2016 - Online mode
1st shift - 9.30 am to 12.30 pm
2nd shift - 14.00 pm to 17.00 pm
