Yes, You are eligible for IFS examination after B.Sc.(H) course in Biotechnology.
First Examination has two compulsory papers which are consist two Papers. Each paper is currying 200 marks and total number of marks is 400 for both. Papers contain multiple choices Question (Objective type questions) which prepared in both Hindi and English language.

IFS Paper one is a paper of English Language for 300 marks. IFS second paper in of General Knowledge for too is 300 marks too and the third paper with options comprises for 200 marks each paper.

Negative marking is applicable for each wrong answer. 1/3 rd marks of the question are deducted from the total marks as Negative Marking. Some people love to mark more than one answer to the question. Answering every question is mandatory and a blank answer has to be paid penalty Written paper is followed by an interview which carries 300 marks.
UPSC IFS Exam Syllabus 2013

UPSE IFS exam syllabus mainly contain general knowledge, general English and a Special Paper. Special paper of IFS offers candidates two subjects which are optional. Any of candidates can choose this special paper according to their interest. Optional subjects for Special papers are as below.

For Preliminary exam candidate should be perfect in geography and current affairs with national or international level. Candidates should have good knowledge about the Indian Political System, Five year Plans, Panchayati Raj, Right Issues, Indian Polity and more.

Candidate should have Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects as in :
Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science,
Botany,
Chemistry,
Geology,
Mathematics,
Physics,
Statistics and Zoology
or

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognised university or equivalent.

Age-limits:
21-30 Years

Nationality:
citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee

Number of attempts:
General candidates: four attempts.

Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.

Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.
