Maharashtra Public Service Commission or MPSC is the authorised for conducting Maharashtra State Civil Services examination in the state.

Apart from the Civil Services Examination, Commission also conducts several other examinations and carries out selection process of candidates for service into varied departments of Maharashtra State Government.

MPSC also conduct examination for Dy SP. Following are the details regarding this:-

The eligibility criteria for exam:

Academic: Degree in Science/Engineering

Age: 19-28 years. Relaxable up to 33 years for OBC candidates

Physical:
Height: 165 cms.
Chest: 84 cms. (Unexpanded)

The exam is conducted in July & September and the notification for exam dates is declared in April.

Compulsory 6 papers:
1) English (100 Marks) – Descriptive type questions
2) Marathi (100 Marks) – Descriptive type questions
3) General Studies Paper I (150 Marks) – Objective type questions (MCQs) – 2 hours
4) General Studies Paper II (150 Marks) – Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours
5) General Studies Paper III (150 Marks) – Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours
6) General Studies Paper IV (150 Marks) – Objective type questions (MCQs) - 2 hours

The eligibility requirement for Class I Post - Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) – in Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is as follows:


Eligibility Criteria of MPSC


Nationality:


One must be the citizen of India and domiciled in the State of Maharashtra.


Age:

The minimum age for one appearing for an MPSC exam is 18 years, the maximum age is 33 years. The maximum age is relaxed able for OBC candidates (max. 35yrs.) and SC/ST/NT candidates (max. 38yrs.).


Educational Qualifications:

One should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University; however, one with a law degree may be given preference.


One in final year of graduation can also appear for the MPSC exam.


No of Attempts:

There is no Limit; one can appear any number of times.
