The University of Mumbai was founded in 18 July 1857, it is one of the first three state universities in India and it offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees apart from diplomas and certificates in many disciplines. Eligibility: Aspirants must have done master’s degree in relevant stream with at least 55% marks from recognized university. The admission will be on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the university. The candidates qualifying UGC/CSRI/JRF/SLET/GATE are also eligible to apply. Re: Eligibility Criteria Phd Mumbai University Hello, here I am providing you the details of the eligibility of PhD in Mumbai University as under: Eligibility: Candidates must have the 55% in aggregate in the masters The master degree should be of the recognised university Candidates need to give the entrance test for the admission in PhD, i.e., PET Entrance test exemption: Candidates who have qualified in GATE/SET/NET/ (JRF) examinations are exempt from appearing for PET. Candidates who hold a Teacher Fellowship with CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR and DBT are also exempt.
