You do not have minimum qualification to join Merchant Navy, you are only 10th pass and for direct admission in Merchant Navy candidate required 12th with physics, chemistry and maths so first you have to complete your 12th class and then you will eligible to join as Deck Cadets and if you holding a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology Engineering then you could join the Merchant navy as a Engine Cadet/ Fifth Engineer/ Junior Engineer. Eligibility criteria: 1. Educational qualification: • Eligibility for courses in nautical science and Marine engineering is 12th with physics, chemistry and mathematics. • Eligibility for navigational and engineering fields of Merchant Navy is Bachelors degree in Nautical Science or Marine engineering. 2. Candidate must be Indian citizen. 3. Age limit for candidates is 16 years to 19.5 years Selection procedure: • IIT- JEE • Personal interviews • medical tests • Counseling Physical Fitness of followings and Medical Requirements to Join Merchant Navy: 1.
