Eligibility Criteria For MDS AIIMS

I am interested in the field of medical and planning to do MDS degree decided to give the AIIMS PG Entrance Exam. Can you please tell what the Eligibility Criteria For MDS course in AIIMS along with pattern of exam also provide important dates to apply for this AIIMS Entrance Exam?

AIIMS PG 2017 is a national level entrance exam conducted twice a year for providing admissions to approximately 183 MD/MS program in Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences and 7 MDS program in its each session, January and July.

Eligibility criteria:

You must possess a BDS degree for MDS programme from a university/institution recognzed by Dental Council of India

You must have completed or likely to complete their 12 months of rotating internship on or before January 30, 2017

Candidates who will complete their internship after January 30, 2017 are not eligible to apply for AIIMS PG 2017 January session

Candidates belonging to general and OBC category must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in MBBS programmes , while candidates belonging to SC/ST must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Exam pattern:

Number of Questions: The entrance test for MD/MS will contain 200 questions. The entrance test of MDS will consist of 90 questions.

Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions
Exam Duration: The duration of MD/MS entrance exam will be 3 hours. The duration of MDS examination will be 1 ½ hours.

Exam Timings: Timings for MD/MS will be 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and timings for MDS will be 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Marking Scheme: For correct response 1 mark will be awarded

Negative Marking: For each wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted.
