Re: Eligibility Criteria for IIT JAM

Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) is an entrance exam conducted by Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Kanpur.

IIT JAM Eligibility

For IISc Bangalore:
First class marks for un-reserved/OBC category candidates and second class or 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off, for SC/ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

For IIT Guwahati:
The applicant should have At least (a) 55% marks in major/honers and pass in all other subjects, including languages and subsidiaries or (b) 55% aggregate marks for un-reserved/OBC category candidates; and at least

50% marks in major/honours and pass in all other subjects, including languages and subsidiaries,
or

50% aggregate marks for SC/ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

For all other IITs:
The applicant should have At least 55% aggregate marks, without rounding off, for un-reserved/OBC category candidates and at least 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off, for SC/ST and PD category candidates in the qualifying degree.

Tentative dates:
Start of online registration:
Second week of September.
Last date for payment of fee through challan:
Third week of October.
End of online registration:
Third week of October.
Last date f0r final website closure:
Last week of October .
Last date for receipt of completed application form:
Last week of October.
Date of JAM test 2015:
First week of February.
Result declaration:
First or second week of April .
