Candidates must have passed graduation from Recognized university/institute.

Candidates must have passed graduation with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Candidates must be in between the age of 18 to 28 years

Candidates must have height of 170 cms

Here I am providing the information regarding the eligibility criteria to become Sub Inspector

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have a Bachelor Degree from any recognized University
Age Limit: 20 to 25 Years

Selection Process:
Written Exam
Personal Interview

The Paper will be held in two parts.

Syllabus for Paper 1:
General Intelligence and Reasoning : 50 questions-50 marks
General Awareness :50 questions-50 marks
Quantitative Aptitude : 50 questions-50 marks
English Comprehension :50 questions-50 marks

Paper 2:
English language & Comprehension for 200 marks

A.General Intelligence & Reasoning :
It would include questions of both verbal and nonverbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figurative classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. The topics are, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figurative Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/Number Classification, Figural Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figurative Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & DE-coding, Numerical Operations, symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/pattern-folding & UN-folding, Figurative Pattern- folding and completion, Indexing Address matching, Date & city matching Classification of center codes/roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence.

B. General Awareness :
Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research etc.

C. Quantitative Aptitude :
The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle ,Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Paralleled, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radiant Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart

D. English Comprehension :
Paper-II : English Language & Comprehension :Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate?s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, comprehension etc

As you are looking for the information regarding the Eligibility required to become a Punjab Sub Inspector, here I am providing same for you .

The minimum eligibility is Graduation or its equivalent from a recognized university.

Applicants must have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the subjects

The Lower age limit is 18 years and the upper age limit is 25 years.

Age Relaxation:

i. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for applicants belonging to SC/ ST and Backward Classes, as prescribed by the State Govt.

ii. For Ex-servicemen: They shall be given relaxation in the upper age limit by 3 years

Physical Measurement:

a) For female candidates: Minimum height : 5 feet and 3 inches

b) For male candidates: Minimum Height : 5 feet and 7 inches (minimum)

Physical Efficiency Test
Written Test
Interview

Written Test:

The exam would be based on topics viz. general awareness on international issues and current national (terrorism/ naxalism in Indian sub-continent).

including knowledge about India, and Punjab in particular, information technology and its applications, general science, numerical aptitude, test of reasoning & comprehension etc .
