Eligibility For Appearing in CLAT Exam

I want to make my career in the Law course and there is need to write the entrance exam to get into the course. What are the eligibility criteria for appearing in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) exam? Please share the CLAT exam pattern also?

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is conducted annually by National Law Universities (NLUs) for admission to their undergraduate Law programmes (BA LLB, B.Com LLB and B.Sc. LLB).

CLAT Eligibility:

One must have secured:
(a) 45% marks in Qualifying Exam (Class XII or equivalent) in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved /OBC /Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.
(b) 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

One appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April is also eligible for appearing in CLAT online examination. However, shall be required to produce an evidence of passing the qualifying exam at the time of admission, failing which shall lose the right to be considered for admission.

The result of qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by one at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
