Re: Eligibility of AFCAT

AFCAT is Air force Common Admission Test for entry in air force. The AFCAT exam is conducted by the Indian Airforce. The AFCAT exam is applicable for the following branch of the Indian airforce.
• Flying Branch
• Technical Branch
• Ground duty branch
Eligibility Criteria for Male Candidate:
1) Flying Branch
Age: Candidate age should be between 20 to 24 years.
Educational Qualifications:
• Flying branch
Candidate have to be graduates (at least 3 years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university who have atleast 60% marks in aggregate and have passed Maths and Physics at 12 level or B.E./B.Tech degree (4 year course) from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
2) Technical Branch (199/16T/PC/M Courses) and (199/16T/SSC/M &199/16T/PC/W)
Age: Candidate age should be between 20 to 26 years..
Educational Qualifications:
Candidate need to pass a 4 year degree under section A & B with at least 60% in aggregate.
3) Ground Duty Branch (199/16G/PC/M and 199/16G/SSC/M Courses and 199/16G/SSC/W)
Age: Candidate age should be between 20 to 26 years.
Administration and Logistics: candidate have to be Graduate Degree in any discipline with a at least 60% marks in aggregate.
Accounts: Candidate Graduate Degree in Commerce (B.Com).
Eligibility Criteria for Female:

Age Limit:
Flying Branch : 20 to 24 years
Technical Branch : 20 to 26 years
Ground Duty: 20 to 26 years
Educational Qualification: Applicant need to pass Graduation in any discipline or B.E/ B.Tech with at least 60% marks for Flying Branch, 4 year degree qualification or cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with at least 60% marks for Technical Branch and Graduation with atleast 60% marks/ P.G degree/ Diploma in any discipline/ C.A/ ICWA with at least 50% marks for Ground Duty Branches.

Applicant can apply for AFCAT exam at official website of an Indian Air force.
