As you want to get the details of educational qualifications which will be required to become a Customs Officer so here it is for you:

Nationality:
A candidate must be either :—
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit:
Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 30 years as on 1st August of the year of examination.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must have passed graduation form any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India

Number of Attempts:
General: 4
OBC: 7
SC and ST: No Limit

Customs and Central Excise departments draw under revenue department of ministry of finance. Central Board of Excise and customs have a chairman and half a dozen members. There are around six customs collectorates and around thirty four central excise collectorates in India. Additional collectors and assistant collectors are there to assists a collector who is the head to each collectorate. The part of customs and central excise division are directorate of revenue intelligence, directorate of anti evasion, directorate of training etc.

Eligibility Criteria for Custom Officer
Education Qualification: Should have Degree in any stream from any recognized University

Age Limit:
18-25 yrs for Open Category

Relaxation in upper age limit as per regulations:

SC/ST -5 years

OBC- 3 years

Physically Handicapped - 10 years

Examination is conducted by staff Selection commission for Custom officer and you have to be appeared in Combined Graduate Level examination

Required Qualities:
For this position one need to have the vehicle license and ability to work flexible schedules and you have the reliable transportation.

And one can’t use drugs of any kind and you should complete all training required for the desired position and you must be able to activate radio or telephone equipment and console monitors.

Preparation:
For this exam one need to prepare every day because of this is getting very difficult and for written test syllabus like;. current affairs and general awareness .

For this one can read daily newspapers regularly and one should have good knowledge in English, G.K, and basic Mathematics etc.

Examination is conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the main exam
for the following posts:-


A) Assistant Grade like Railway Board etc.

B) Inspector Of central Excise, Income Tax Officer etc.

C) Sub Inspector in CBI

D) Sub Inspector of Police in BSF,CISF,CRPF
