Educational Qualification For Indian Forest Services

I want to know the Educational Qualification required to apply for Indian Forest Services IFS exam?

Indian Forest Services Exam is conducted by UPSC for recruitment to forestry services of India.

IFS Exam Eligibility Criteria

Education:

Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects - Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering.

Age:

Your age must be between 21 years 32 years on 1st August of the year of exam.

Upper age limit is relaxable in some cases.

IFS Important Dates

Date of Notification: 27 April, 2016
Last Date to Apply: 27 May, 2016
Date of Exam (Prelims): 7 August, 2016 (CSAT)
IFS Main Exam: 12 November, 2016

Paper II General Knowledge 300
Paper III Optional Subject 1 200
Paper IV Optional Subject 1 200
Paper V Optional Subject 2 200
Paper VI Optional Subject 2 200
Total 1400

After written examination, interview for personality test will be of 300 marks.
