Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET ) is the first step in the process of getting admission to the 2 year long full-time Postgraduate Degree Programme in Management that are offered by the IITs.


Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent, or a Master’s degree in any discipline can appear for the JMET examination

Syllabus

Verbal Communication: This section will test the candidate's comprehension of and interpretative abilities in English as a language of business specifically in common forms of English expression, grammar and usage in business.

Logical Reasoning: This section would have questions on analytical reasoning, argument analysis and analysis of explanation questions.

Quantitative Ability: This section will test the candidate’s understanding of Mathematics from the basics to Mensuration to Linear Algebra to Elementary differential calculus to Probability and Statistics.

Data Interpretation: This section would have questions with simple tables, histograms, pie charts, graphs, scatter diagrams, etc. Although involved calculations are not expected, simple data manipulations would be required.
