Am I eligible to apply for national defense service examination during studies of 11 class

No you can not apply for national defense service examination during studies of 11 class. You must have pass 12th grade examination with good marks.

Here I am giving you information about required eligibility to apply for national defense service examination organized by union public service commission.

NDA Exam Eligibility :
For Navy and AIF:
Candidates must pass in Class 12th with Science Discipline from any recognized Board.

For Army:
Candidates must pass in Class 12th from any recognized board with any discipline.

Age limit
16 ½ to 19 Years

Marital Status : unmarried

Physical qualification :
The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cms.
162.5 cms for Air Force F
Your eyesight must be 6/6.
Your height must be minimum 165 cm.
Physically handicapped students are not allowed here.

Special Requirements for Air Force Pilot
Leg length
99.00cm – 120.00cm

Thigh length
Max 64.00cm

Sitting height
81.50cm – 96.00cm




UPSC NDA EXAM PATTERN
The written exam consist of two papers.

No, to apply for NDA exam firstly you have to complete your 12th class.
National Defense Academy (NDA) exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year, in the month of April and September.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA Examination 2015

Educational Qualification

Indian Army wing -
10 + 2 / Intermediate or any equivalent qualification provided by the state government.

Air Force (Naval Academy) –

12th with Physics and Mathematics Subjects and applicants who are perusing 12th standard are also eligible.

Age Limitation -

You should not be born before January 1996 and not after July 1998.

Only Unmarried candidates are eligible for this examination

Nationality-

The Nationality of Applicants should be the citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan / Nepal / Tibetan Refugee / or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and east African Countries of Kenya, Uganda.

Selection Process

Candidates have to clear out written examination followed by personal interview.
