The Duke MBA—Cross Continent program offered by Duke University's Fuqua School of Business is designed to help full-time working professionals to earn a world-class MBA in only 17 months. It also builds a culturally diverse peer network with students from more than 25 different countries. One can study from home using distance learning platform, and study in 5 different locations around the world, which may include: Durham, NC, USA Istanbul, Turkey New Delhi, India Santiago, Chile Shanghai/Kunshan, China St. Petersburg, Russia It builds more than global awareness; it provides the real-world experience that helps develop global competence and prepare for international job responsibilities. One will: • Build work experience and your career options • Practice cross-cultural communication through both the curriculum and the setting • Understand the drivers of world economies and markets • Master business frameworks to address the world's interdependencies • Prepare to lead a global enterprise Format • Program Length: 17 months • Academic Terms: 6 terms (with an optional 7th term for a concentration) • Academic Environment: Short in-person residency sessions followed by longer distance learning periods. Approximately 40% of the teaching is done face-to-face. • Residency Locations* (in order) for the Class of 2016: o Durham, North Carolina, USA o Shanghai/Kunshan, China o Santiago, Chile o New Delhi, India o St. Petersburg, Russia o Durham, North Carolina, USA (electives term) • Typical Term: After a reading period at home, you will travel around the world to meet for classes in residency sessions. The residency experience will then be followed by 7 - 10 weeks of distance learning from home. • Curriculum: 10 core courses, 2 multi-term courses spanning the first 5 terms, 4 electives, and an additional, optional, 2-course equivalent elective project if pursuing a concentration or certificate. • Program Start & End: July 2016 - December 2017 |
