The Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University offers M.A. in Economics of duration 2 years. MA Economics course structure is divided into 4 semesters. MA Economics Duration 2 years Eligibility Criteria- Direct/Merit Mode: At least 60% in the aggregate of the B.A. Economics (Hons) of the University of Delhi Entrance Test Mode: At least 60% or First Division or equivalent CGPA in any Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any subject from the University of Delhi or any Indian University recognized by the University of Delhi. Relaxations/concessions for categories other than the General Category are laid down in the Information Bulletin of Delhi University. Admission is looked forward to being on basis of merit for BA Economics DU graduates for 50% seats, and rest 50% seats through DU DSE MA (Economics) Entrance Exam. The minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test will be 40% (General category), 36% (OBC category), and 20% (SC/ST category). Short listing of students for scholarships will be done on the basis of the Entrance Test only. Entrance Exam - The test will consist of multiple-choice questions only. The Entrance Examination will test the candidates ability to understand and apply concepts in four basic areas in Economics: microeconomic theory, macroeconomic theory, mathematical techniques used by economists, and probability, statistics and elementary econometrics. Apart from these, some general questions testing the reasoning and quantitative ability of the students may also be asked.
