University of Delhi has invited applications for admission to its full time Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) .

Important dates:
Online submission last date: April 18, 2014.
Display of list for entrance test:
For B.Ed program: May 27, 2014
Date of entrance test:
For B.Ed program: June 01, 2014 (2 pm to 5 pm)

Eligibility criteria:
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from the University of Delhi or any other recognized university with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks.
Applicants should have studied two (teaching) subjects at graduate level, and should have obtained at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in each of the subjects.

Selection procedure:
Applicants selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance test.

DU B.Ed. Admission 2014 Eligibility-

For under Graduates-

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme from recognised University with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST), Children/ Widows/Wives of Armed Personnel, including Para-Military Personnel, killed/ disabled in Action (C/WAP), Visually Disabled (VD) and Other than Visually Disabled (OVD) category candidates will be allowed a concession of 5%marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.

For Post graduate-

Master’s degree or any other qualification from any recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Entrance Test -

All candidates are required to appear in the Entrance Test.
It consists of two parts and can be taken in either English or Hindi.

Part A

consists of General awareness, Reasoning and language comprehension (compulsory for all candidates). This section would include areas to assess abilities of the candidates such as reasoning (mathematical, inductive & deductive), identifying and understanding the relationship among various elements, decision making, data analysis, interpretation. Items in the fields of education, national and international affairs, etc would also be included in this section to assess their understanding in these areas also. Further, a passage would also be included in this section based on which a few objective type questions will be asked to assess the candidate’s language comprehension.

Part B

The total duration of the Entrance Test is 3 hours.

Part A

General Awareness (MCQ Question) 30 Marks
Reasoning (MCQ Question) 20 Marks
Language Comprehension (Hindi and English) (MCQ Question) 20 Marks

Part B-

Candidates opting for Language AND / or Social Science (MCQ Question) 80 Marks
OR
Candidates opting for Science and/ or (MCQ Question) 80 Marks
