Directorate of Technical Education, Goa was founded under the aegis of The Government of Goa in 1986. It facilitates new Technical Education institutions and courses in the State of Goa.

Goa Diploma Admissions 2014 Eligibility Criteria:
1. Nationality
Indian

2. Age
No age limit

3. Educational Qualification
3.1 FOR SSC+ /HSSC+ SEATS (See Note below)

i) Engineering Courses:
Candidate has a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the SSC (Std. Xth) or equivalent examination (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC) with Science, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.

ii) Hotel Management & Catering Technology:
Candidate has a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate in the HSSC (Science/Commerce/Arts/Vocational) or equivalent examination.

iii) Garment Technology:
Candidate has minimum of 35% marks in aggregate in the SSC, with Science, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects.

iv) Pharmacy:
Candidate has a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate in the HSSC (Science) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

v) Modern Office Practice (MOP):
Candidate has minimum of 35% marks in aggregate in the HSSC (Science/Commerce/Arts/Vocational) or equivalent examination.
