As you Asking for the Information About the DRDO Imperial Eagle Unmanned Aerial Vehicle the Information is given below About the DRDO Imperial Eagle Unmanned Aerial Vehicle The Imperial Eagle is an Indian light-weight mini-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Aeronautical Development Establishment, the National Aerospace Laboratories and supported by private vendors. Design and Features The Imperial Eagle weighs 2.5 kg and can carry either a daylight camera or thermal night vision camera. The five-feet long UAV can capture the image of anything within a 10-km radius through its high definition infrared-enabled camera and transmit images continuously for almost an hour to the ground station. With the fixed wings measuring 1,600 mm, the UAV can fly at 90 km per hour. Navigation System The DRDO Imperial Eagle function as an autopilot which is the main advantage of this UAV.The Imperial eagle is fully autonomous.The orientation can be controlled using a dedicated real-time operating system (RTOS). About the Engine : The DRDO imperial Eagle is powered by 1 x BLDC Motor Wing-mounted turboprop .It has empty weight of 2.3 kg and can carry payload of 250 gms. Performance It can fly with the maximum speed of 90 km/h and cruise speed of 40 km/h.It has endurance of 60 minutes. The ferry range of UAV is 15 km and service ceiling is 14,000 ft. |
