Joint Entrance Examination (JEXPO) is conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (annually) for the selection of eligible candidates to 1st year diploma courses. Here I am telling you District Quota given in JEXPO-2014: 20% seats of polytechnics in each district/zone will be reserved for the candidates of respective district/zone (remaining 80% will be reserved for State Quota). In case of non-availability of sufficient number of candidates in District Quota, the vacant seats will be converted to State Quota. The district/zone of the school from where a candidate passed Madhyamik/Equivalent Examination will be considered in case of District Quota seats. District Quota was not be applicable in respect of APC Roy Polytechnic, North Calcutta Polytechnic, Central Calcutta Polytechnic, Birla Institute of Technology and Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic. Exam Pattern for Joint Entrance Examination (JEXPO) Joint Entrance Examination (JEXPO) is conducted in objective mode. Questions will be asked from subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Total time allotted for the test is 4 hours (Mathematics — 2 hours, Physics & Chemistry – 2 hours). In total the test carries 200 marks. Maximum marks allotted for the section of Mathematics is 100 and that for Physics and Chemistry is 100. |
