The Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization is the most astounding positioned authority of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the space office of the India. A. S. Kiran Kumar had been appointed as the chairman of ISRO on 12 January 2015. The Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) was found in 1962 with Vikram Sarabhai as its administrator. The Indian Space Research Organization in its current structure was made by Vikarm Sarabhai in 1969. Since then there have been seven executive of the Indian Space Research Organization, with Prof. Satish Dhawan serving the longest term of 12 years as the Chairman. Dr K Sivan, Distinguished Scientist and Director, Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), Thiruvananthapuram, has assumed the office of the Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram. Mr. S Somanath, ‘Outstanding Scientist’ and Associate Director (Projects), Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), as well as Project Director of GSLV Mk-III, has taken over as the Director of Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC). Mr P Kunhikrishnan, Scientist ‘H’ and Deputy Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), has taken over as the Director of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. |
