No, Diploma holder in Engineering is not eligible for CAT (Common Admission Test) Exam for admission in MBA (Master in Business Administration) Program. Eligibility The candidate must satisfy the below specified criteria's: 1. Hold a Bachelor's Degree, with minimum 50% or equal CGPA (45% for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Able (DA) candidates) 2. The degree should be granted by any of the Universities consolidated by an act of the central or state statutory body in India or other instructive organizations recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. 3. One appearing for the final year of bachelors degree/equivalent qualification exam and the individuals who have finished degree prerequisites and is anticipating results can likewise apply. If selected, one will be permitted to join the program temporarily, only if one presents a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of College expressing that one has finished every one of the prerequisites for acquiring the four year college education/identical capability on the date of the issue of the certificate. CAT Exam Pattern - Highlights Duration of the Test 3 hours (180 minutes) Total Number of Sections 3 Sectional Duration 1 hour (60 minutes) Total Number of Questions 100 Total Marks 300 Marks per question 3 Negative marking for wrong answer -1 Number of MCQs & Non-MCQs in CAT Section No. of Questions No. of Non-MCQs MCQs VARC 34 10 24 DI & LR 32 8 24 QA 34 7 27 Total 100 25 -- Marking Scheme It is very important for the candidates to be aware of marking scheme of the CAT exam. Each correct answer will be awarded three marks and one mark would be deducted for each wrong answer. However, this marking scheme is applicable only for MCQs. For Non-MCQs, there is no negative marking. |
